Lookbook: Memphis, 2015

Part of the 'Lookbook: Memphis' project has been supported by devolved funding administered through Accessible Arts (AArts) on behalf of the Lifetime Care and Support Authority (LTCSA).

'Lookbook: Memphis' is a photographic project questioning the importance of appearance in the identity of women in a contemporary context and seeks to highlight the issue of invisible disability. The project consists of self-portrait photographs in the artist's regular dress which are symbolic of her identity as a creative individual who began in the fashion industry.

Selfie I and Selfie II were exhibited as part of Affiliated Text - Not Singing, the Poetics of Protest in July at Cross Art and Books, Kings Cross, Sydney. Selfie I, Girl with Scarf, Self Portrait with Stick and All Dressed Up were included in Click 2015, Brunswick Street Gallery's annual photographic exhibition.

Self Portrait with Stick was a finalist in the photography competition 'Stick', exhibited at the Accessible Arts' Arts + Disability Expo 2015 at Carriageworks. Below is the audio description provided. An edited version of the photo was also used as the Expo Program cover image and in online advertising for the event.
